Objective

The Information Retrieval Society of India (IRSI) was created on 27th May 2004. The aim of IRSI is to promote research and development in the area of Information Retrieval in India. Multilingual Information Retrieval, Text Mining, and Digital Libraries are some of the main thrust areas of IRSI. We hope this society will serve as a common platform for learning and exchange of knowledge and ideas among scientists, researchers, practitioners and students working in the field of Information Retrieval.
